Is it really Necessary To Prepare for a Crisis?

None of us is happy about disasters that have hit the United States, over the past 2 years, I’m talking about a globe pandemic that changed the way we live and interact with others

BAREBONES PREPAREDNESS CHECKLIST:

Here’s what I would  call a “Barebones Preparedness check list:

1. A 3 day supply of non-perishable food per person

2. One gallon of drinking water per person per day

3. Flashlights and extra batteries

4. First aid kit, including prescription medications

5. Sanitation and hygiene items

6. Important family documents

7. Cash

BEFORE DURING AND AFTER

Here are some additional suggestions from FEMA for before during and after a disaster:
Before, know the risks and danger signs, purchase insurance, including flood insurance, develop a family action plan.
Volunteer to help others.
During, put your plan into action, follow the advice of officials in charge.
After, watch out for damage near your your home, including downed wires.

BEYOND YOUR PHYSICAL NEED

The emotional benefits of preparedness are not as obvious, but they’re just as real, realizing you have adequate supplies to keep your family and yourself safe in an emergency instills confidence.
